    21-22” LCD Monitor

I’m trying to find a good LCD monitor for my son’s BD. In searching Cnet Reviews I see the bad: No extras such as speakers or USB ports. I don’t see that an LCD monitor needs speakers especially if his computer already has a good set but why USB ports?
    Any suggestions would be helpful.
    Thanks, Mike.

You don't have to use the monitors speakers
You also don't have to use the USB ports either.I'm not 100% sure but from what I understand they are there to hook up a laptop, mouse, keyboard and what ever else

Make sure that your video card is up to the task of running the monitor. I found out that the requirements are a bit different than with a standard CRT, & you may end up with an undesirable effect, such as a blurry display, only one good viewable resolution, etc.

ok some models have a usb hub builtin so if u plug in to it ull get 2 or 4 usb ports that are available right on the monitor, incase ur short on usb ports its a good idea to have that option.

builtin speakers for me are waste unless u dont have one or u have same ****y speakers ur self, then u can remove them to save space

im using viewsonic 22" wide myself and found it pretty good, had 19" acer and man that lcd was so bad.
Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!

As for me from 22" monitors I prefer ViewSonic VA2226w
There are a lot of good things have been said about it.
I have found many positive professional and user reviews about this model.
For example if you go through TestFreak's reviews you'll see that it placed on 2nd place by score and have 8.6 ranking form 10.

The price $259 is very good for such monitor as well..
